The Worst Flu Ever!

In the previous post I said that Jon was a little sick.....Well that was an underestimation. Jon was very sick with the FLU!! Jon blacked out in the bathroom and when I mentioned taking him to the hospital he didn't object(which he usual does). We ended up taking Jon to the hospital at 7:30pm, ER was kind of busy but we got a room by 8pm. They hydrated Jon and gave him some medicine for the pain. They diagnosis was the flu, they discharged us at 11:30pm. When we got home we went to bed.........At 1:00am Jon was in so much pain that he was begging me to take him back to the hospital. I called the hospital and they reassured me that there was nothing that they could do for him and that I should go to the store and get the recommended items on the paperwork that they gave me when I left the Hospital. So I journeyed out into the cold, feeling a little queazy myself. When I returned Jon had black out on the couch again, so I told him that I was calling our home teachers. Luckily for us Jeremy had not even gone to bed yet and came over. He gave Jon a Blessing and then gave me one as a precaution. At 4:30am I was in the bathroom puking my guts out. We were so sick all day Tuesday, I thought that I was going to die. I can't remember the last time I was so sick, I was so achy and so tired. Brett has the worst diarrhea, but little bum is so red he can't even sit down with out crying. My Mom flew in last night to help us out, I am so grateful for her. Luckily I feel better this morning, a little queasy but I am doing ok. Jon was feeling better and he went to school, but came home half way though school. He said that he was doing fine until cooking class, when the teacher made everyone cook deviled eggs(which he says make him sick even if he is healthy). So all in all we are hanging in there. Next year I am getting the flu shot.

Well... doesn't sound like it's over yet but perhaps some progress is being made right? Once you're feeling better you need to let us take care of you. :) Let me know what we could do. Bring dinner, have you over and make a dessert together, baby-sit Brett, etc.

Abbie you can watch Brett whenever you want, as long as you are not in labor. After you have your little one you may rethink watching Brett. The tables will turn and I will want to watch your little one so that you can get some sleep. You and Scott are so good to us, how we will ever repay you I don't know.
