A couple days ago, I was sitting in the living room reading the morning news paper. Then I saw it, quite possibly the biggest ugliest
BUG. Now I am not afraid of bugs, by any means. I have killed plenty of them with out even shuttering, as some of you can attest. This one how ever was different, and it gave me the chills just looking at it. So what did I do? I yelled for Jon, showed him the bug(it was huge you couldn't really miss it) and made him kill it(Ok I didn't make him kill it, he did it willingly). The Bug was happily perched high on the wall, so Jon sprayed it with water, until it was low enough to use our swiffer with a paper towel on it to kill it.

A few days later when Jon's parents were here, they were all sitting in the living room and there was another one. Mom said that it was coming at her so she moved to the couch. Once it got close they killed it.
Does anyone know what kind of buy this is? It has two heads, and lots of legs! Maybe that is why it is so scary, or maybe because that bug was seriously huge?!

umm,.. yuck! I do hate bugs,.. expically this one!!
I have seen those, but not in really life. I saw it on some one else's blog try going here: http://jennyandjake.blogspot.com/2008/04/house-centipede.html
This is what a member of our ward found out about your little bug friend. I cannot imagine finding one of those. We killed another hobo spider last week and we have had problems with big brownish black ants, but not house centipedes.
THANK YOU KERIANN!! I looked up house centipedes on Wikipedia and it put me at ease that that bug won't come and eat me. I can't say that I am thrilled to share my home with it. Apparently they are very common, but this is the first time I have ever seen one. Lets keep it that way!
That's funny you saw one in Utah. I never had seen one till living here in PA. They are huge and nasty, but I am glad to finally know what it is. You are lucky Jon was home. The first time I saw one Matt was at school studying so I had to kill it with his shoe. It was gross. I didn't want to clean up the guts-so I left that for Matt! Anyway, congrats on graduation.
