Well the weather has been kind of crazy. We have had tons of snow, our neighbor said that we have not had a winter like this in years. I shoveled the driveway Friday, on Saturday it had snowed a little bit. This Morning when I looked out the window, it had snowed so hard that I honestly didn't think that we were going to make it down the hill, let alone to church. We made it though and I am glad I we did, there were some things that I needed to hear.
We had the flu in our house this weekend. Heather went to school and got it from the T.A. I guess that she felt that even though she was running a 105 degree temperature that she just couldn't miss work. Luckily for us Brett has had all of his flu shots, and Jon and I have not showed any symptoms so far. I know that the Lord is blessing us.
Saturday was a very sweet day for me. At 10:30am I sat down on the couch and began to watch the coverage of President Hinckley's Funeral. It was very interesting to watch those who spoke, you could just see and hear all of the love and respect that they had for him. As I sat there I was amazed at how much I remembered and how much I learned. As I listened with my "spiritual" ears, there were things that I think that the Lord was trying to teaching me. I tried to be strong as I watch but I could help letting the tears flow, my heart ached. I always said that when he died I would cry, well I cried and I still cry. I think my favorite part was listening to what others had to say about him, and the stories that they told. You know that you know someone well when you hear someone quote them and you can say, "yep that sounds like him." That is how I felt, I never knew him or shook his hand but I knew him and knew of his love for me.
On a little lighter note one of my very dear friends sent me this baby care guide, that I thought was very useful. So I wanted to share it will all of you.
