On Friday, our family made the trek( I say trek only cause it seemed to be deep in the heart of the canyon) through hobble creek canyon to Spring Haven Lodge. This was our very last ward party at BYU.As we drove through the canyon, we were amazed at the beautiful residences that were there. Most of the houses were massive and elegant. Unfortunately Jon was not able to enjoy the scenery as much as I did, he usually misses out because I make him drive. As we pulled into Spring Haven, my breath was once again taken away by this beautiful piece of property and the gorgeous lodge that sat on it. When we took the tour of the Lodge I was impressed by every little detail and even more impressed by the Master bedroom that over look the lake and rushing stream. secretly wish for a lodge of my own hidden away in a beautiful canyon.
The ward activity was so much fun, we ate hamburgers, hot dogs, chip, salads and wonderful desserts. We played games, chatted and took a few seconds to walk to grounds before we left. It was so nice to talk to people before we leave. I am so sad that it has taken me this l
Jon was a little sad that there was no Frog Eye Salad left over after the party. So I guess I will have to make more. Surprisingly, a lot of people really liked it(or so I was told). For some reason I didn't think people would, but there was not a scrap left so they must have.
Brett naturally loved the water, so we had to get a few photos. Thanks to the Robbins for putting on such a memorable activity for us, we loved every second of it, the half hour drive was totally worth it. I just wished Brett's bed time was still 10pm.
As we drove home we saw so many deer run across the street, that was slightly scary because we would come around a corner at 35mph and all of the sudden a deer would run across the street ahead of us. I was surprised we didn't hit one.

Yeah for the 5th ward activities. I so miss it. And I can't believe thats your last one. Good Luck in Michigan right? Keep posting. I love to see Brett. He's such a cute boy! And I'd so love a secret lodge in the middle of the forest.
That was a great activity and your frog eye salad was amazing! By the way, I noticed that Nikon DSLR cameras are on sale at Costco right now.
